ABOUT ME

I’m a Sydney sider, born and bred.

I enjoy coffee a latte, think cheese is just grate and find proposal stories very engaging. Bad puns, I know - it's how eye roll :P

Whilst I'm a creator at heart, I’m also very organised, love planning and spreadsheets and am a bit of a perfectionist.

I became an authorised celebrant in 2016. Obviously a big reason I took up this profession is because I enjoy weddings and love love...but I also appreciate each part of the ceremony process – working with couples, writing, presenting, bringing stories to life, and celebrating!

Working full-time in marketing and part-time as a celebrant keeps me pretty busy. When I'm not working or enjoying myself silly at weddings, I'm chilling with my hubby and my two sons, spending time with friends and family, working out, at the beach travelling the world!

So what are you waiting for? Get in touch and let's see if we gel.

Love, Elise x

About Me: Welcome

MY CREDENTIALS

How you know I'm legit

While most people think being a marriage celebrant means "just turning up on the wedding day", what it actually means is that:

  • I have undergone training, possess a Cert IV in Celebrancy, and the Attorney-General's Department of Australia has recognised and registered me as a Commonwealth Registered Marriage Celebrant under Subdivision C of Division 1 of Part IV of the Marriage Act 1961;

  • I am authorised to solemnise the marriage of two people within Australia, and when conducting a marriage ceremony I comply with the rules of the Marriage Act 1961, the Marriage Regulations 2017 and adhere to the Code of Practice (pdf 95kb).

  • Each year I pay an annual registration fee and undertake five hours of ongoing professional development to maintain my registration status.

Check out a journey with me as your celebrant (hint: it takes more than just turning up on the day.)
